The Advertising World will soon change with the revised principle of Marketing, known as the New Wave Marketing.

Philip Kotler and Hermawan Kartajaya will soon write a new book known as New Wave Marketing that will explain the revised 9 principles of Marketing.

With these new terms, advertising strategies and chosen media will have to change and adapt to these principles.

Briefly, the nine principles of Marketing has been revised to the 12 C’s of New Wave Marketing as illustrated below:

  • Marketing-Mix => Crowd-Combo
  • Product => Co-Creation
  • Price => Currency
  • Place =>Communal Activation
  • Promotion => Conversation
  • Selling => Commercialization
  • Brand => Character
  • Service => Caring
  • Process => Collaboration

These new terms described the principles of Marketing better than the previous terms. New Wave Marketing when applied allows companies to reap huge benefits with sustainable competitive advantage over others that do not apply them.

Many of these new wave companies or new wave marketers who applied New Wave Marketing have started to switch to online marketing and online media such as the internet, blogs, videos and mobile internet.

The evolution of New Wave Marketing is actually the result of the development of internet and many large successful businesses who have applied it has become highly successful including internet businesses as we know it such as FACEBOOK!

Communitization is the first element and key to successful New Wave Marketing and the internet has allowed marketers to find and research the types of community suitable for their businesses.
